A reason why all your new web application development should be ruby on rails based
clouds, elastic computing, slicing whatever you call it; it is cheaper, more efficient and did I say cheaper?
Think about this for one year of Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Software (yes the software license only), you can get one year of hosting at full power on that cloud. Translated for you: you’d only be able to get about two steps into a race to develop a project with the same budget if you were using .NET to do the same task. You’d barely be covering the cost of ONE tool and ZERO hardware.
Of course , only available right now if you are rails based
Lol , choose your poison, you’ll need to someday.
since I was troubleshooting PHP memory leaks vis Apache I forgot to finish my thought. Toolmakers put effort in making better tools for a reason; it’s not about scorning the old or the expensive.
I advocate Ruby because its the best tool right now for the kind of work I love best. For the money, there’s nothing better.
